My Story
*Date change* I am keeping this Just Giving page but the amended date for my 10K Race for Life is now Saturday 12th September. We all know someone who has lost a friend or family member to cancer. A 10k run for some is easy. However, running 10k for me will be a real challenge. I loved running and ran regularly but Iβve not been able to run properly since I had sepsis last year. It attacked my lungs and I had an awful lumbar puncture (where the doctor went in 8 times until he successfully drew fluid) which has left me with terrible, constant back pain. This is a challenge for me to slowly and surely get back my fitness with this run in 6 months time, (hopefully) a successful celebration that I have overcome my illness and helped raise money for so many who suffer from all types of cancer. I managed it two years ago in honour of my amazing Nan who had just passed away and I will run this again for her as well as my wonderful Grandad Bob. I miss both of them so, so much! Anything you can donate is very greatly appreciated. Much love always, Elle xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UKβs groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
