My Story
I'm doing the Race for Life to raise a little bit of money towards the research into cancer and into the all important treatments. This research is so important to me as, like so many families, cancer has been part of our lives. My grandmother died from bowel cancer in 2009 and my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She underwent treatment, including a research trial, and is now in remission. Please consider donating to this very worthwhile cause - after 2 children and lots of solo parenting my fitness is at an all time low so this 5km will certainly trst me! Thank you.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
