My Story
Not long ago, I was struggling just to heal—now I’m taking on a half marathon hike.” This is more than a hike—it’s proof of how far I’ve come.” A year ago, my world changed in an instant—but today, I’m choosing to turn that moment into something powerful. As most of you know, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July 2025. It’s something that completely changed my life—but also showed me strength I never knew I had. Throughout my journey, the care, treatment, and support I received from the hospital teams was nothing short of amazing. They were there for me every step of the way—lifting me when I was at my lowest, encouraging me when I needed it most, and helping me become the person I am today. I truly don’t know where I would be without them. Now, I want to give something back—to say thank you, and to help them continue supporting others who are facing their own cancer journey. This year, I’m taking part in the Big Hike to help power progress for people affected by cancer. I’ll be hiking a half marathon in the Lake District—the biggest and most challenging hike I’ve ever attempted. Considering that only a month or so ago I still couldn’t even wear a bra properly—something that really limited my ability to exercise—this will be a huge personal challenge for me. But it also shows just how far I’ve come, and why this means so much. Every donation, no matter how small, will help fund vital research and support for those affected by cancer. Together, we can help make a difference and bring hope to so many people. Thank you so much for your support—it truly means the world to me. ❤️
