Race for Life at Home
I’m taking part in Race for Life at Home this year in support of my friend Ashleigh Thomson. Ashleigh was diagnosed with Stage 4B Lymphoma in December at the age of 27 and with a 3 month old baby - as if navigating a global pandemic as a new mum wasn’t hard enough! Ashleigh has been an absolute inspiration as she’s undergone her treatment and chemotherapy without a word of complaint. She recently received the best news that the cancer is on its way out and I have no doubt that her mindset and positivity has had a role to play in her win! After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. That's why I'll be taking part in the Race for Life at Home. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today! If you’d like to join the Race for Life at Home community, then sign up at raceforlife.org/race-for-life-at-home
CAUSE
Lymphoma
Survival rates for many types of lymphoma has increased significantly – now, twice as many people survive non-Hodgkin lymphoma as in the 1970s. And four out of five people will survive Hodgkin's lymphoma, compared to fewer than half of patients in the 1970s. Help Cancer Research UK improve effective treatments and survival with your donation.
