A dear friend of mine has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Dominic is one of those people who has opened his home to us when we were just starting in Bristol, so to learn that he too is a victim of this disease is very saddening. I have previously lost my husband's parents, my aunt and an uncle to cancer. I wanted to help save lives which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
