Douglas's Cycle 300 Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. This September, before the end of the month, I will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedalling harder than ever because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. I have realized recently that apart from giving to charity I have never done anything to raise money for a good cause. So this is my chance. I am cycling indoors in memory of my mum and dad who both succumbed to cancer. They brought me into this world. It is only right that I help fight the disease took them away. So Cycle 300. We purchased an exercise bike during Covid 19. I have used it regularly during lockdown. I saw the advertisement for Cycle 300 and thought great opportunity to raise money for a charity that really changes the chances of surviving cancer. So whatever you can afford please donate as it will go direct to Cancer Research UK. No charity collectors getting a cut.Thanks in advance. 24/7 - Just realised that it is 300 miles and not kilometres. Bigger challenge than I thought' 10/8 - Remember to tick gift aid as it gives the charity the tax element 10/8 - 21 days to go. £155 raised. Reached £320 so thanks to all who have contributed. 3/9 - 3 Days gone. Have covered 62 miles/100 km. 238 miles to go (383 km) 12/9 - Still cycling in aid of Cancer Research. Day 12. Have covered 310 km of 483 km so just under 200 of the 300 miles done. Thank you all for contributing to this life saving charity. Have now raised £400 plus £65 gift aid so tremendous thank you to all that have contributed. 18/9/ - Had my first day off the exercise bike in September. Feels good. Have only 60km (about 40 miles) to go. Should complete in the next 3 or 4 days.
