Dan & David's Double Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
My Story
Thank you for visiting this page - your donation will change lives. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The route is 24 miles (38.6km) and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. On Thursday 14th & Friday 15th October, we will be completing a DOUBLE Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge - two days of consecutive hiking totalling over 77km with over 3,000m of ascent. This is likely to be a gruelling and brutal physical challenge, hopefully worthy of your donation to fund life-saving research, helping us all beat cancer. Cancer survival rates have doubled in the past forty years and now 2 in 4 people receiving a cancer diagnosis will survive. But that is not enough. Cancer Research UK’s ambition is to reach 3 in 4 people surviving cancer within the next twenty years. Roadchef’s support will help fund 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses as they work across all 200 different types of cancer. With Roadchef’s help we can beat cancer sooner.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
