Raising as much as I can to beat cancer
In memory of
David Templeton
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! I have been motivated to raise funds for Cancer Research primarily due to the loss of one of my closest friends in June last year after losing his hard fought battle with oesophageal cancer. David Templeton was only a month older than me & was the best friend anyone could wish for. He was an inspiration to all of us especially after his diagnosis. He remained so positive & considerate to those close to him, I still miss him every day. Late last year I ran a half marathon with David's son Greg (& his slow pals!) so feel that running a marathon this year is a natural continuation of the drive to raise funds in David's name. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
