10 years ago, on 25th May, my Grandad was stolen from us by cancer
In memory of

10 years ago my beloved grandad was diagnosed with lung cancer. He had fought in the war, survived septacemia when he was so ill he should have died, quit smoking and yet still got cancer. From diagnoses to that awful day on 25th May was around 6 weeks. I watch my grandad that was full of life literally waste away before my eyes. Not something that I will ever forget. 10 years later not a lot has changed. Cancer is still stealing loved ones from families and this really needs to change. Bradley Lowery and Lisa Magill will also be on my mind. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
