Donna's Race for Life
Liverpool - Aintree 5k 2018
Sun 17 Jun 2018
I found out in March that the daughter of someone I respect greatly had been diagnosed with Lymphoma, and her positivity was enough to motivate me into action! For those who know me, I am unfit and overweight, I have dodgy knees that are unfortunately no longer designed for sport, nevertheless I am nothing if not stubborn and determined...... SO..... I have signed up for Aintree Race for Life 5K in June - 5 weeks and counting!! At one point, a cure did not exist for cancers such as Lymphoma, which demonstrates the progress that has already been made in this field. Imagine being able to prevent these cancers in the first place, instead of having to treat them! I have been affected, as unfortunately most of us are, through loved ones suffering from a form of cancer, and they weren't able to fundraise like I am. Therefore, any donation would mean the world and will literally save lives; no matter how much or how little you choose to give. Time to show Cancer who's Boss! Thanks Donna
