My Story
A few years ago Dad was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx. It felt like the end of the world. After having to have his voice box removed, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the after care from the speech therapists, dieticians etc has been awesome. It’s meant that life can get back to being as normal as possible and I’m so grateful for all they do and continue to do for him. My Step-Dad has been able to battle prostate cancer thanks to the incredible work of Cancer Research. He is still here for us to carry on annoying him and asking favours! 😊 The amazing work of Cancer Research has meant that they are some of the lucky survivors and we’d like to give something back 😁 I’ll be running for all the survivors, and those still fighting as well as loved ones we’ve lost to this cruel disease. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
