My Story
So many folk I know, like myself, have lost family and friends to cancer. A number of folk in my life have survived their cancer diagnosis. For all of them, I wanted to make a difference. So on Friday 6th of April, I will be having my head shaved to raise money for Cancer Research. This is in honour of the many folk who have lost their hair during treatment - possibly the most visible sign of a cancer diagnosis for many. I hope you will sponsor me, and support the cause of better diagnosis and treatment of cancer. A big thank you to all who have encouraged me in this; and to the Skye Branch Cancer Research UK are helping coordinate off-line sponsorship and donations.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
