Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. I have worked alongside some of the best cancer surgeons for the last 18 years and have seen first hand the devastation of cancer .... it is heartbreaking. I have also seen the sheer elation when patients are given the all clear ...or at least some hope of treatment. This effects everyone connected to the patient as well as the patient themselves and really brings home the importance of the amazing, unfailing work that Cancer Research does. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives.
