My Story
We live in a diverse world with unique individuals having their own thoughts and feelings, but I’d argue that there’s one thing we all (or at least the majority) of us have in common and that Is The Big C Word is something we all detest and we have been effected by it in some way. Sadly my family and I lost our dear brother and Uncle last year to cancer. It’s one of the worst feelings in the world to watch someone you love slowly and sometimes even quickly deteriorate in front of you and you have no control to stop or help their pain. I loved my Uncle Desmond very much and in order to celebrate him and to keep him alive I decided to honour him by doing this cancer walk. Please help me keep his memory (along with so many others) going by supporting in any way that you can. Every penny counts to help us get closer to treat and even cure this detestable disease. If you can sponsor me to help me reach my £250 goal it would mean the world to me and those this money will help. I have indicated that I would like the funds to go towards helping children who are being effected by cancer as children have a special place in my heart. I thank you in advance Much love Donna xx Here’s so info about cancer research: Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.

CAUSE
Children's & Young People's Cancers
Cancer in children and young people is different from cancer in adults, both in the types of cancer they develop and the effects of treatment. As a result, it needs a different and dedicated approach. With your support, our researchers can continue to drive progress and transform outcomes for the youngest cancer patients.
