My Story
Last year I spent my birthday with two of the most wonderful and inspirational people that I could ever hope to meet! I can't attend the Carter Center Weekend for my birthday this year, but at least I can try to live up to Jimmy and Rosalynn's ideals and try to follow their example. So, on my birthday I will be Racing for Jimmy, at the Race for Life as part of Team Rita, along with Di and Sarah! (And anyone else who wants to join us.) I only have one request -- no, actually, not a request but a demand for this year! I don't want anyone to spend anything on me -- so no presents, cards, nothing that costs money. I want any money that you might have spent donated to my Race for Life fundraising page instead. As I'm Racing for Jimmy, this year, my birthday has to be all about other people and not about me. And I'm sure you all will try to help me do that! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
