I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner. It's my way of saying thank you for saving my life but also I am taking part for others who are fighting cancer right now.
My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. I am one of the lucky ones, 11 years on and I am still in remission. However, two family members very close to me are now going through their own battle against this dreadful disease. Thanks to all money raised through fundraising at these events, research goes on and new amazing treatments are being discovered everyday. Things have changed so much even in the 11 years since my own treatment. It is vital we keep this going so that one day we will have a cure for all cancers and it will be eliminated altogether. As it is now 1 in 2 people who will suffer with cancer, just think one day it may be you or someone you love. Let's work together to fight this. Thank you for your donation, no matter how small.
