My Story
February 15th 2017. One year ago today in Scunthorpe General Hospital, at about 1655 I got the news that " your biopsy shows something serious is going on" Oh, I said naively, what's that then? Without a flicker, he looked me in the eye and said "You've got cancer"........Now after surgery, Radio Therapy, six months of compromised mobility and shocking pain I'm doing The Pretty Muddy. I'm mostly doing it for me, because thankfully I can, but also for some of the most amazing people I met during my treatment, some are no longer here. I was, and continue to be, humbled by their practicality, optimism and spirit .I have had the most amazing support which still continues so much so that some of my more mad friends are doing The Pretty Muddy with me. They are all Leiborschy Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla owners: this breed brings so much to my life and we are all bound by a passion for the breed.Seeing as our dogs get pretty muddy and seem to have so much fun on a daily basis I thought it only fair that myself and some owners did the same. This is no mean feat as all of us bar one young lady, are ladies over a certain age, one of whom professes to be The Queen of Clean. I cannot thank the TEAM enough for their support. PLEASE support us getting muddy and raising money.
