To continue to beat this disease...

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. Several of my family and friends have been affected by cancer, but the big difference I'm seeing first-hand is the improved survival rate compared with years gone by - this is down to research and improved treatment made possible by charities like this. I could get all political and bleat on about how it shouldn't be down to charity to fund such important work but we all know it doesn't work that way so we have to deal with what we have in the real world!

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
