Sun 4 Jul 2021
On 4th July 2021 I will be taking part in the Pink Ladies Tractor Road Run in aid of breast cancer research for Cancer Research UK. This will be the postponed 17th year of the event (although the first year for me) and so far, the team of amazing ladies have raised over £735,000 for this charity and are aiming for the million. 100+ ladies, all dressed in pink, aboard tractors decorated in any way you can imagine, complete a circa 25 mile route to raise money for this important charity. We all know someone (whether ourselves or family / friends) whose lives have been shattered by this cruel disease. Research gives hope for a future with less impact from breast cancer. For me, I have no experience of driving a tractor save for a couple of lessons from my tractor's owner! It's a bit daunting but I'm up for the challenge. If you would be willing to dip you hand into your pocket and sponsor me I would be hugely grateful. Many thanks.
CAUSE
Breast cancer
With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
