Diana's Race for Life

As some of you know i lost my grandad to cancer, Gareths dad has cancer and over the last few years I have watched friends pass from this god awful disease. On the flip side, I know people who have had cancer diagnoses and due to the outstanding research and treatment have recovered, been cured and come out fighting. I also know people who are working to care for those and treat those with cancer. They say cancer affects 1 in 3 of us. I say bollocks! Cancer affects EVERYONE. To quote the blues brothers 'you, me, everybody'. That is why im doing this. I dont know 1 single person who hasn't been affected directly or indirectly by cancer. I was doing couch to 5k to prepare myself but alas I did a Diana and damaged my ankle! When I got to the hospital the first thing i asked was if I'd be able to do the race for life. The doctor said no running for 8 to 10 weeks. But on the agreement I'll walk she'll let me do it! (I may run a little if I can.... since when have I ever listened to doctors).
