My Story
My story started a few weeks ago when I went for a routine Mammogram. I was shocked to receive a letter asking me to go for further tests. This quickly moved on to being diagnosed with Breast cancer and embarking on a journey to beat this awful illness. Two things that have become important to me. The first being to encourage people to go for any routine checks you are offered. Clearly as I found out it can be you ! The second is the options in treatment paths that are available because of the enormous amount of research that has been done, mainly due to years of fundraising. I am hoping that with the help of my family and friends to be able to make a contribution to the funds. As many of you know me and my daughter have done various crazy things in the past fundraising for a number of charities including trekking in the Himalayas and Burma, the moonwalk, sleeping rough for the homeless and hopefully we will get the opportunity to rack up a few more miles for this amazing cause. At the moment this will have to be a work in progress, but if anyone would like to make a donation it would be incredible. Thank you so much for all the support and love I have received in the past few weeks. It makes this journey so much more bearable.

CAUSE
Breast cancer
With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
