My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Please dig deep and donate now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. 2017 will mark 6 years since I found out I had breast cancer. Thanks to medical advances after surgery I received chemotherapy, radiotherapy and then continued receiving Herceptin for 12 months. Luckily that's in the past now and I can help raise money for cancer research so others can be saved by these amazing treatments that are improving all the time thanks to cancer research. I know a lot of my friends have either had cancer themselves or have lost family or friends to this terrible and very common disease. My resolution this year is to try and stay fit and healthy as well as raising money for cancer research so giving up that glass of wine (or two!!!) each evening is a positive start!!!!
