My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. As a cancer survivor myself, and in honour of all those I know who are fighting or have succumbed to this evil disease in its many forms, I am taking on this challenge. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
