My Story
Longest Day Up is a motorbike challenge to travel from Land’s End to John O'Groats on only A and B roads on the longest day of the year on ridiculously cheap bikes. So around 1000 miles in 24 hours on bikes held together with cable ties and optimism. Sounds really silly now I think about it. I managed to get hold of a 2006 Honda NT700 Deauville last year for £300, running but looking rough and having been stored outside unloved for some time. A strip down, oil change, many hours messing about with brakes and a newish pair of tyres and she looks slightly less rough but hopefully works. This should be a great, and undoubtedly painful experience and a very good way to raise money for an incredibly important cause which affects so many of us directly.
