My Story
Many of you know I do this race every year. I wish there was not the need and that cancer was a thing of the past but it isn’t. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I hate running… but I hate cancer far more! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
