I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money. As many of you know, I am not a runner, jogger, or fitness fanatic but…. I do this each year because it is a cause close to my heart and breast!
My Story
This year, once again I lost someone close to me. My dear, brave and beautiful friend Gill disappeared far too quickly so … this year is particularly for her. I miss her laughter and her friendship. Each year I race for someone special…. It started with the loss of school chum Shirley many years ago and sadly, the list just continues to grow. I have even found myself running for ex pupils and students whom I taught. Thankfully I also know many survivors.. both friends, colleagues and close family. I look forward to the day when raising money to find a cure for cancer will no longer be needed. Until then…. I shall keep entering Race for Life. If you can donate…. amazing! If you can’t that’s fine too… just wish me well. Thank you all for your support and kindness. I expect nothing so anything is a bonus. Take care;stay safe; stay strong! xxx dee 💞💘💖💗💓💕 Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
