My Story
My aim was to take part in Race for Life last year as a focus after starting from couch to running 5k a few months earlier, but after breaking my ankle it was not to be. So this year my focus again was to complete Race for Life and I have been building up my running each week. Sadly earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am post-surgery, have just started medication which I will have to take for the next 10 years and am currently awaiting radiotherapy treatment at Christies. However, I am determined that I WILL complete the 5k race this year whether I run, walk or crawl over the line. Please help this great cause by donating whatever you can. Thank you. ************************************************************** Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
