The number of people diagnosed with cancer is rising rapidly, both in the UK and globally. Cancer Research UK builds partnerships and supports international collaboration on the basis that working together, we will beat cancer sooner. On 05 June, I will be running a 5km Race for Life at Battersea Park as part of Cancer Research UK’s International Partnerships team. Each one of us have lost loved ones to cancer and want to play our part in raising funds for life saving research. I’d be very grateful for your support and know that each pound will make a difference.’Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
