My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. I have decided that this is the year I will make an impact and do something that I have been meaning to do for a long time. Not to sit back, but to actually do something myself. I have lost loved ones over the years to this cruel disease and have decided that this time I will do something about it other than feel helpless. My father-in-law lost his fight against this disease after he was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2019, which for a very intelligent man was devastating. It was very aggressive and in the short time he had he lost his speech and then any form of communication. It was so cruel that in his last weeks he couldn't express himself or even say goodbye it was heart breaking. I have found that during the recent year of lockdowns, walking has helped with my wellbeing and my mood and given me time to think and because of this I feel the time is right to do something worthwhile. So to my family and friends I ask for your support in this challenge and good cause because I don't just intend to "walk for cancer" I intend to STAMP, STOMP and CRUSH cancer with every step I take.
