Having finished a gruelling 10 months of treatment for Stage 3 Bowel Cancer, which involved 2 major surgeries & 7 chemo treatments, I am keeping everything crossed that I am cancer free. However, as cancer cells were found in 7 out of 25 lymph nodes, we won’t know for sure until scans, blood tests & a colonoscopy are done in January. That is one of the reasons why I am raising money for Cancer Research UK’s Stand Up to Cancer campaign. Also, I, like many others, personally know people who have died from, or who are fighting cancer. The money raised will help take breakthroughs in the lab and transforms them into treatments and cures for cancer patients who need them right now.
