My Story
As most of you know I am a runner-sort of!! My biggest ever challenge to date was competing in the Great North Run - 13 miles! Time for a new challenge so what next? Well time to double the distance and go for the full marathon!! I always said I would do it for a charity of my Mum’s choice when she started treatment for her Leukaemia and that time has now arrived. She has chosen CRUK as she is in the FLAIR trial which is funded by CRUK and so without them this would not be possible. It is very early days but all the signs are positive. Therefore, on 6th October, I will be competing in the Loch Ness Marathon!!! 26.2 miles of running in the beautiful Scottish countryside. Up to 5 hours of hell(hopefully no longer), however my recovery will be short and sweet, unlike people fighting cancer so please help me raise as much money as I can for this important charity so that more people like my Mum get the opportunity to fight this terrible disease. Thank you for taking the time to read this xx Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
