My Story
I'm walking the Shine marathon again this year (overnight, in the cold Autumn air...) to help raise funds for Cancer Research in memory of my Aunty Anne. Over the last two years both my husband and I have seen our families lose 4 people to cancer, and 2 more are still fighting. I have also seen colleagues and friends affected by the disease, and I wanted to do something to help. This year's walk will be my own donation, but please do give a little something if you can spare it, even the price of a coffee and cake. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
