On 23rd September I will be completing the Shine walk - a 26.2 mile walk round the streets of London in memory of my phenomenal brother Chris who passed away in April following the most courageous battle with cancer.
I took on this challenge a few years ago and it be will no surprise for me to say that Chris was my biggest cheerleader and motivator. This year I am walking with my mum, aunty and cousin - together we will walk proudly in memory of Chris, my Uncle Brian and cousin Sarah who were all taken too soon.
Chris really was an awesome brother and best friend, he was so inspiring in so many ways to so many people and I miss him every single day. I am so incredibly proud to be his sister and for his fierce bravery he showed throughout his treatment never once complaining.
I know we are not alone in this experience and the thought and knowledge that so many people I know have gone through, are going through or will go through exactly the same experience as we have makes me so very sad.
