Dawn's Race for Life

This time last year I didn’t realise how my life would change for ever , this time last year my brave dad had a small red mark on his arm nothing to write home about how wrong was we, a few months later after lots of investigations we were told it was an extremely rare cancer called Merkel cell carcinoma, apart from very extensive surgery to remove the tumour chemo wouldn’t work and because it’s so rare the medical experts don’t know a lot about it . My dad fought 2 lots of major surgeries alongside other health issues and unfortunately eventually lost his life to sepsis , maybe if we knew more about this cancer things may have been different , I can’t do anymore for him but I can do something for other people diagnosed with this awful disease, please help me to raise as much money as I can in memory of my wonderful dad Dougie x
