My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. I am walking on behalf of my grandmother, Ramasri Mahi and cousin brother, Manoj Ram who both lost their lives to cancer. I was quite young when I lost my grandmother to Gallbladder cancer, however my mother always reminds me about how much the Macmillan Team helped my grandmother through her journey. Macmillan went above and beyond to ensure my grandmother was always comfortable and had all she required. Unfortunately, the cancer got worse and at the age of 69 she sadly passed away. My cousin brother battled Glioblastoma cancer for a year and half. Again, with the help of the Macmillan nurses, they helped to ease the pain and ensured he was as comfortable as possible. Sadly, again, with a heavy heart he lost his fight against cancer and passed away at the young age of 44 on the 4th April 2020. I am Walking All Over Cancer for my grandmother, cousin brother, cancer survivors and to those that have lost their battle. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page; little or large, it helps. Thank you Davina xxx
