My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. My parents both died of cancer in the 70's when there was virtually no treatment available for this terrible disease. Fortunately there has been phenomenal progress in the detection and treatment of cancer, but we need to push harder and go further. Everyone knows someone affected by cancer. Last year I ran for a friend who was undergoing treatment, I'm pleased to say that the treatment was successful and he has recovered. This year I'm running for a friend who is undergoing treatment in his own battle against cancer. We are thinking of him and supporting him, we wish him all the best.

All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
