My Story
Cancer is everywhere. Its remorseless, unforgiving, indifferent but mostly unwanted. I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives, so that one day, the C-word wont be something that people fear. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. It might not affect you, but chances are, it will affect someone you know. It might be a friend, work colleague or a loved one. If youre like me, and have someone you care about get diagnosed with cancer, you can feel helpless. Thats why im running (well walking) for Race for LIfe. So I can do *something*, no matter how small, to help those that are suffering and struggling. I know things are bad at the moment, but every penny and pound you donate can really help Cancer Research UK continue thier work to treat cancer. Even if you cant donate, please spread the word and cheer me on!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
