I’m running the Great North Run 2019 in memory of Sophie Lillywhite and raising as much as I can to help beat cancer!
A team of 14 runners are taking on the Great North Run 2019 (half-marathon) in honour of our very dear friend Sophie Lillywhite. Sophie was a kind hearted, beautiful soul who we sadly lost to cancer in 2018 at the young age of 30 years old. As well as running in memory of Sophie we're trying to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK to continue vital research and to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured! Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
