My Story
If you know me, you know why I'm doing this. Fortunately I have no new reasons. This is the fifth time I've done this (including one in Manchester but that one has stopped) but I'm 2 years older than the last time so its not getting any easier! I'm trying to raise funds for research into cures for leukaemia, each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Leukaemia
Each year, around 10,300 people are diagnosed with leukaemia in the UK. That’s 38 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat leukaemia.
