2019 Virgin Sport Oxford Half Marathon
Sun, 13 Oct 2019 - Sun, 13 Oct 2019
My Story
Hello everyone. Another 12 months, another Half Marathon and so on 13th October I'll be running the 13 odd miles around the city of Oxford. As of writing, training is going well with two six mile runs and two 5-a-side football games every week and a longer run at the weekend. Hopefully I should be ok come the 13th? Once again I will be running on behalf of Cancer Research, hoping to raise money in memory of a dear friend who passed away. Cancer Research is a charity that I am sure will connect with us all and with the donations ,they will be able to continue to fund the research and offer support for those that need it. I've set the target at £1,000, which I do every year, but if the figure reaches £1,117, that will be a total of £5,000 that you would have generously donated over the 4 marathons. I hope you can make a donation, however large or small to keep me motivated throughout the long training runs, thinking that what I'm doing, may make a difference and help someone in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read this. David
