In memory of
All those who have fought and are currently fighting Cancer
We all have family or friends or know of someone whose lives has been changed by Cancer. Whilst many of us are aware of this dreadful disease, we never truly know it's effects until it comes knocking on our own door. Help us Stand Up to Cancer through the power of Classic 60's Soul & Motown Music. "The Last Word" a revered 10 Piece 60's Soul and Motown Revue band, formed in Worthing over 25 years ago, then influenced by Alan Parker’s 1991 film The Commitments and the much later stage show, sponsored by Smirnoff as a leading band on the corporate circuit at that time, are re-forming after 10 years, to deliver a very special ONE TIME ONLY "Stand Up To Cancer" performance. The re-formed band includes a majority of the original line-up, all of which are very accomplished musicians in their own right, who have also played regularly with the likes of Madness, Franz Ferdinand, The Lee Thompson Ska Orchestra, The Hot Knives, plus many other leading UK Tribute bands. This is truly a band reunion line-up not to be missed!! We will also be supported by the amazing MOD-n-SOUL DJ's, Steve Bowden and Mark Foxon, who will be spinning original vinyl from the era. All band members are donating their services and any profits from ticket sales will go to direct Cancer Research. Additional donations can also be made here to support this very worthy cause. Please help us get to our £2,000 target, thank you so much for your support. Saturday 24th March 2018 - St. Paul's, Chapel Road, Worthing - Doors open at 7.30pm with DJ's until midnight. Tickets cost just £10.00 in advance from the St. Paul's website. www.stpaulsworthing.co.uk or £12.50 walk up.

Stand Up to Cancer: LIFE-SAVING RESEARCH
100% of the money you raise goes towards speeding up life-saving research. Every day, scientists and researchers work tirelessly to beat cancer. But lab researchers will not get us there alone. Every penny raised helps speed up breakthroughs in the lab, transforming them into new tests and treatments for patients who need them. The research you fund will help us see 3 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer by 2034.
