Darryl's LDU Challenge
A challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK, for motorcyclists on cheap and inappropriate motorcycles to ride from Land’s End to John O'Groats in 24hrs on the longest day of the year. 1000 miles, no motorways and no new bike! All bikes must have been bought for no more than £600 and the first challenge is to get them up and running, MOT'd and ready for this painful seat riding journey! Everyone's lives have been touched by this, friends, family and work colleagues. My aim is raise as much as possible to help support fighting this most painful and life impacting disease even for those who have survived there is a psychological impact to them and the people around them. To make life really interesting and some may say a little crazy I will be back on a bike for the first time in 20+ years, trying to remember first how to get a bike working that hasn't been on the road for years (I don't like getting my hands dirty) then making sure I can ride for that long!!!! I have 2 bikes in prep both over 20 years old so hopefully one of them will have enough to get me to the end! Please help me in achieving this, I really want to smash my target and I thank you so much for your support
