In memory of

2 amazing women Barbara and Sheryl deeply missed by all of my family and friends

My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. In the last few years I have lost two very different but amazing awe inspiring women who were both close family friends. Firstly we lost one of my best friends mum Barbara an incredibly kind generous loving women who was not only a wife to the equally loveable Barry and mother to her 2 beloved sons Darren and Michael but surrogate mum to all their friends their partners and surrogate grandmother to all their children and any other local waifs and strays connected in any way to a huge circle of friends and family. Barbara lost her fight with cancer in September 2015 and is still absolutely loved and missed by all of us. Last year we lost the amazing Sheryl a total one off the most fun loving, down to earth person I’ve ever met in my life. With no angles no sides and no bias this wonderful women would tell her life story to a complete stranger and once done so would be your friend for life. The first and last person on the dance floor and a wicked laugh that lit up a room Sheryl leaves behind her partner the equally amazing Dean and her 2 wonderful children Jimmy and Brooke whom Sheryl would do absolutely anything for. This amazing women has left a gaping chasm in everybody’s life that knew her and that’s an awful lot of people deeply missed and loved by us all and was taken way to early from all of us. So these women are the reason I’m doing this, I am incredibly proud to have known these two amazing and different women and it’s my way of honouring the pair of them and trying to fight back against this dreaded disease that takes to many people from all of us. It's is also a personal challenge I’ve never done anything like this and whilst being a lifelong casual cyclist, I am more used to 10 miles and flat London roads not 100 miles and the hills of Surrey. I’m training hard and determined to complete this and do it well so please dig deep people and let’s get this done
