My Story
01.05.21 Well the visit to the barbers went well....I think... Head now shaved as shown below. No laughing, please! Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Like most people, I have donated to various charities, but it wasn't until recently that I have been personlly affected. My son, Aaron, was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL) a couple of weeks ago, and has just started his chemotherapy treatment in hospital. He has already started losing his hair, so I thought I would support him and others by shaving my head for the month of May. Having now had first hand experience of the NHS, MacMillan and hospital staff helping and supporting cancer patients, I realise that their dedication and support is so crucial to cancer sufferers, and their families. They have been wonderful in their support and advice, and I can only hope my small attempts to raise funds for something that is likely to affect 1 in 2 of people in the UK, helps towards the day we can beat this disease in all its forms! Please accept my thanks for any donation you make via this fund raising page. It is greatly appreciated. I do intend to try other ideas to raise funds, so please re-visit every now again, and see how things are going!
