I’m raising money in support of my dad and uncle to fund cancer research projects
My Story
I’m raising money for Cancer Research UK in support of my dad (Tim) and uncle Pete, both of whom are living with non-curable forms of cancer. I've seen first hand how important clinical trials are and how they can bring immediate and positive change to treatments. Many cancer patients (including my dad and uncle) want to join clinical trials, both in the hope of helping themselves and in the hope of helping others. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
