I’m taking part in Shine Night Walk for my girlfriend’s mom, who’s fighting lung cancer at the age of 51
Earlier this year, Lucy’s mom Jane was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. She has undergone so much since then, an amount that has taken the strength I’ve never seen in a person before. She’s had 4 chemo & immunotherapy sessions so far, 13 intense targeted radiotheraphy sessions on her neck/chest, 2 blood clots on her lungs caused by SVC obstruction which is a narrowing or blockage of the superior vena cava. She’s still fighting everyday and so is Lucy and the rest of her family, who’ve welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home down here in London. I’m doing this 26-mile walk in support of my wonderful girlfriend and hopefully, the money raised will make a difference for someone in the future. It doesn’t matter how much you give, literally anything is amazing. _____ 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Donate to my Giving Page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
