My motivation for running the pretty muddy is my 3 grandparents!

My Story
I am running the pretty muddy for my 3 grandparents. My grandma, nan and grandad all battled with different types of cancer and unfortunately my grandma lost her battle in 2008 and my grandad having other complications along with his cancer passed away in 2009. Thankfully my nan is a strong lady and is in remission and has been cleared from the hospital for a number of years now. I want to do this run to help raise some money for cancer research to help other people like my grandparents. Although I'm running in memory of my grandma and grandad I'm also running for my nan! I am also running alongside one of my closest friends jemma who's boyfriend is currently fighting leukaemia. Knowing that this charity is helping someone very close to our hearts means that we want to raise as much as possible.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
