Run Hackney Half Marathon 2017
Sun 30 Apr 2017
An opportunity to raise money for a great cause, plus I booked it ages ago so I have to do it now.

My Story
We live in the age of idiocy, where we actively support people that are incapable of fulfilling the promises they lay before us, where we march headfirst into uncertainty with dogeared determination. I will serve as a bastion of this cretinous age by running the Hackney half marathon on April 30th. I haven't done any training for over a month now and I'm planning to "go in with fresh legs" which, I think, is a saying that I just made up to make it sound like I am prepared in some way. I have a bad back. My target is £300 and I will put in £50 which is the usual entry fee, so I may as well try and raise some cash for this excellent organisation. Queue emotion blackmail: the weekend of the run happens to coincide with what would have been my Dad's 70th, so I will be running (or hobbling) in his memory. It also means there is a high possibility I'll be running with a hangover, as we celebrate the day before. Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
