My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. Many of you who know me know how I almost lost my mum to Cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 4 head and neck cancer on the July 20th 2017 and was told she had a 20% chance of survival. I was lucky enough, thanks to her determination and the amazing care and treatment she received, that she is still here with me today.. cancer free! She had a life saving operation that replaced her jawbone with her leg bone, tracheotomy, skin grafts, 330 hours of chemotherapy and then radiotherapy! And on November 2017 she was given the all clear! None of this would of been possible if it wasn't for the amazing research and new treatments which are saving more and more lives. I was lucky enough my mum survived, many are not so lucky. So on behalf of my mum who is so grateful for everything that was done to save her life, I am going to be walking 10,000 steps a day to Walk All Over Cancer. Since she struggles to walk far due to having a bone in her leg removed I have said I will do it for her so she can say thank you and find a way of giving back after being able to watch her grandkids grow up all thanks to Cancer research and their work aswell as the amazing hospital staff at UHCW. So please donate if you can afford to or share for me if you can't. Every bit of help is appreciated. Thank you!
