I want to raise money to beat ALL types of cancer!

In memory of

My Dad

19th May 1960 - 9th Jan 2014

My Story

I am running the 5k race for life because I lost my dad to cancer. After being diagnosed in late September 2013 and finding out the cancer was terminal in October 2013 my dad lost his battle to cancer in early January 2014. After having little and virtually no time to come to terms with what was happening cancer took my dads life and he was taking from us with little warning. David was a loving husband, a father and a best friend. He was a family man that so many people looked up to over the years. My dad suffered from Esophageal Cancer, and statistics show only 19% of people with Esophageal Cancer survive 5 years or more and my Dad sadly only survived a little over 3 months. Esophageal Cancer starts on the inside lining of the esophagus (the tube that connects your throut and stomach) and spreads outward through the other layers as it grows. I would like to raise money to help fund cancer research but also spread awareness of other cancers that are seen as less common but are just as aggressive and deadly. I love you - my dad, my best friend, my hero. Thank you for visiting. Don't forget to add Gift Aid
